Living in Rangiora, Natasha began dancing at age 4 at Levings School of Dance, Christchurch. Natasha completed her Royal Academy of Dance (RAD) Ballet Examinations through to Advanced 1, NZAMD Jazz (Advanced) / NZAMD Contemporary (Level 6) and was a Junior Associate with New Zealand School of Dance in Wellington for 3 years majoring in Contemporary Dance. Natasha competed and represented New Zealand on the National / International stage in both dancing and as an International Women’s Artistic Gymnast, winning numerous National and International Titles in New Zealand, Australia and USA. At 15, Natasha trained Full-time at Queensland National Ballet School, Brisbane for 2 years, completing the Advanced Diploma in Professional Dance (Elite Performance). Upon return to New Zealand in 2017, Miss Natasha directed her energy and passion towards Freelance Teaching for several dance schools in Christchurch specialising in Ballet, Jazz, Contemporary, Lyrical, and Acrobatics Classes. Having taught for 7 years, Miss Natasha decided to undertake and successfully complete The Certificate in Dance Teaching Studies (CBTS) offered by the RAD, London to become a Qualified Registered RAD Teacher. Additionally, Miss Natasha currently continues to choreograph school productions, adjudicate Modern / Ballet competitions and perform as a Dancer / Performer for Epic Entertainment specialising in Corporate Events. Miss Natasha is excited to introduce classes to her local community, to share her knowledge and love of ballet whilst inspiring students in a positive, fun, safe learning environment to develop each student to the best of their potential.
Hikaru Takao
Hip-Hop / Acro-Dance Teacher
With 14 years of dance experience, Hikaru brings passion, energy, and a love for performing to every class. She’s trained in Jazz, Ballet, Contemporary, Hip Hop & Acro - earning top NZAMD results and a Solo Performance Diploma with Distinction. After years of competing and performing across NZ, she now teaches Jazz, Lyrical, Contemporary, Hop Hop & Acrobatics to students of all ages. Hikaru is passionate about helping young dancers grow in confidence and creativity.
Imke Koekemoer
Contemporary / Lyrical Teacher
Imke, 21, began dancing at the age of 3. Originally from South Africa, she moved to New Zealand at 5 and began competitive dance training from ages 6–17. During this time, she competed internationally in Los Angeles, Paris, and Prague, and travelled extensively throughout Australia for national dance competitions. At 15, she attended a 4-week Summer Intensive with the Joffrey Ballet School. In 2019, Imke was named a Top 6 finalist in the country for the National Young Performer Awards in Palmerston North. She trained full-time in a pre-professional programme at Canterbury Ballet from 2017–2021, and went on to study Contemporary at the New Zealand School of Dance. She has also performed as a featured dancer in the World of Wearable Arts and trained at Dynamite Studios in Australia, further expanding her experience with leading choreographers and tutors. Imke is a versatile dancer and teacher, working across Lyrical, Contemporary, Jazz, Musical Theatre, Heels, Hip Hop, Ballet, and Acro/Tumbling. She is passionate about sharing her knowledge with the next generation and loves creating choreography for solos, duos/trios, and group performances.
